Win 11 Microsoft Edge How to trim microsoft edge down from 2.6gb

I don't use microsoft edge, i understand it is partly integrated with the OS, i dont need the previous updates of microsoft edge that it stores they hold zero use for me, no i will not switch to it, how do i trim it down to just the base OS without any of the stored updates?

    Hello Lilfattcatt H,

    Microsoft Edge cannot safely be reduced to a custom “base OS only” installation. Windows and Edge manage the program and update files, so avoid manually deleting Edge or EdgeUpdate folders.

    You can remove disposable files instead:

    1. In Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete, select Cached images and files, and choose Clear now.
    2. Open Settings > System > Storage > Temporary files.
    3. Select the temporary and Windows Update cleanup items you no longer need, then choose Remove files.
    4. Restart the computer and check Edge’s reported size again.

    If most of the 2.6 GB remains, it is likely the managed Edge installation rather than removable update backups. I would leave that portion intact.
