How to fix when connecting android phone to desktop with windows 11 when clicking on internal storage for phone recycle bin comes up instead of DCIM folder

    This can be a temporary software glitch.

    • Unplug your Samsung mobile device from the PC.
    • Restart your Windows 11 PC, then connect the Samsung device to a different USB port.
    • Make sure you grant file transfer permissions on your Samsung device.

    Then open File Explorer on Windows, double-click the internal storage device, and see whether it opens the DCIM folder and other internal folders.

    If you are still having issues, run this command in an elevated Command Prompt window without your Samsung device connected.

    sfc /scannow

    Once finished, restart your computer and connect your mobile device.
