No news articles or content appear when I open Microsoft Edge

This problem has been occurring for too long and I want a fix to this. When I open Microsoft Edge, it doesn't show any news articles below and there's no option in the settings to turn on or off the content. When I open MSN, it also shows nothing at all. The only time articles appear is if I open the "old MSN homepage" in the settings. Even then, I can only like and dislike with it saying when I open the comments, "Under 18" which I changed my account to over 18+ and it still does nothing. No tutorials have helped at all, and it's very frustrating.

And FYI, I can indeed see articles when I make another profile, but not on the specific one I use. Someone please help me!!

    Hello Jack H,

Thanks for reaching out. So, the feed is blank only on the profile you normally use but works on another profile. That usually means the issue is tied to the Microsoft account signed into that profile rather than Edge itself. The blocked commenting on MSN might point the same way, since MSN age-gates both feed personalization and comments. So, my best guess is that this account is somehow still being treated as under 18, even though you changed the birthdate.

A couple of quick questions so I can narrow it down:

    • Was this account ever a child account, or part of a Microsoft family group at some point, even years ago?
    • When you changed the birthdate to 18 or over, did it ask you to verify your identity, and did that step actually complete?

In the meantime, these are probably worth trying:

    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/family and remove yourself from any family group listed there, if one shows up.
    • Sign out of your Microsoft account in Edge, restart the PC, then sign back in with the same account. This should force Edge to pull your updated status from Microsoft's servers.
    • Open a new tab and check whether the feed and commenting come back.
    • It may also be worth confirming at https://account.microsoft.com under Your info that the birthdate change actually went through, in case it's still waiting on identity verification.
