Additional settings-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Regarding your issue, when you try to install Maestro, do you see this issue like my screenshot which is the "Request approval" button with the message "If you would like to enable this app, please submit it for compliance review"?
If yes, then this isn't an error with your account. It simply means this app currently requires approval from your IT admin before it can be added. For more details, please refer to: Request app approval in Microsoft Teams
You can select that "Request approval" button and it will send a request to your IT admin to review. Once they approve it, you'll get a notification and be able to add the app.
In Microsoft Teams, it's your IT admin who decides which apps people in the organization are allowed to install, and they manage this through something called app permission policies.
- Let everyone install any app
- Allow only certain apps and block the rest
- Require approval before specific apps (like TeamsMaestro) can be added
For more details, please refer to: Overview of app policies to manage apps in Teams - Microsoft Teams
Even though your account looks set up exactly like your colleagues', you may simply be assigned to a different policy or group, which is why you keep hitting the approval prompt while they don't.
Since this is all handled on the admin side through Teams app policies, your IT admin is the one who can enable the app for you (or change whether it needs approval).
Hopefully it clears thing up and if I have misunderstood anything about your issue, feel free to comment below.
