Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub login loop (GitHub signup): redirects to signup page after Azure provisioning

I registered for Microsoft for Startups / Founders Hub using my GitHub account.

Azure provisioning appears to have completed successfully:

  • I can access Azure Portal
  • Azure credits were assigned
  • My Microsoft account login works
  • My Microsoft Learn profile works

Problem: When I try to access Founders Hub, I am immediately redirected to:

https://portal.startups.microsoft.com/signup

This happens consistently, including in Chrome incognito mode.

Troubleshooting already performed:

  • Tried multiple browsers
  • Tried incognito mode
  • Verified Microsoft account access
  • Verified Azure tenant access
  • Tried direct Founders Hub URLs

Browser console/network logs show:

GET https://portal.startups.microsoft.com/api/user/me/ → 401 Unauthorized

Question: How can I complete or restore the Founders Hub onboarding/account provisioning so that I can access the Founders Hub dashboard and benefits?

Azure | Azure Startups
Azure | Azure Startups

Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.

    Hi Olga Spackova,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,

GitHub is not a supported sign-in identity for Founders Hub.

The Official Document states: "A LinkedIn account is required to access the Microsoft for Startups portal."

GitHub is used during the Azure sign-up flow, but the Founders Hub portal does not recognise it as a valid identity for looking up a startup profile. This mismatch is why you keep landing on /signup instead of your dashboard.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/startups/microsoft-for-startups/mfs-portal

Try signing in to the Founders Hub portal directly using your LinkedIn at:

    https://portal.startups.microsoft.com/login

If your LinkedIn was linked during the signup flow, this may resolve the loop immediately.
