Update: I removed all credentials for xbox live from credential manager, removed token bearers from Microsoft.Xbox.IdentityProvider in %localappdata%\Packages folder. The thing is, those tokens do not create on log in and I can't find out why. Seems that windows reinstall is the only option left
How to fix: We can't sign you in because your account has been suspended from Xbox Live.
I have an error trying to login to xbox app. It shows that my account is suspended. However, I can login on my phone and don't have any messages or emails regarding account suspension. Moreover, I created a new account only to get the same error. I reinstalled gaming services/ xbox app and it doesn't seem to help. I would really like to resolve this issue to play new Forza Horizon 6. Right now I'm updating windows from 23H2 to 25H2 but I don't think it would actually help. Thanks in advance.
Update: my friend tried to log in with his pc and he succeded:

Q&A Assist2026-05-15T12:36:52.16+00:00 AI generated content. This question contains an answer created with AI from Q&A Assist. Learn moreThe error message in the Xbox app is generic and can appear both when an Xbox account is actually suspended and when there are sign‑in or environment issues on the PC.
From the information provided:
- Enforcement history shows 0 strikes and no active or expired suspensions, so the Xbox account itself is not banned.
- A newly created account shows the same error, which points to a PC/Xbox services issue, not an account enforcement.
Use these steps on the PC to resolve it:
- Verify the account really is not suspended
Sign in to the Xbox enforcement site and check the enforcement history and strikes. If there were a real suspension, it would appear there and would be based on violations of the Microsoft Services Agreement and the Xbox Code of Conduct. Since the page shows no active suspensions, continue with PC troubleshooting. - Update or repair Gaming Services
Problems with Gaming Services can block sign‑in for all accounts. To force an update/repair:- Open PowerShell as Administrator.
- Run:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers - In the same PowerShell window, run:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN - In Microsoft Store, install Gaming Services again and accept any UAC prompts.
- After installation completes, try signing in to the Xbox app again.
- Update or reinstall the Xbox app
If the Xbox app itself is outdated or corrupted, it can also cause sign‑in failures.- Ensure the PC is in the RETAIL sandbox (if it was ever used for development sandboxes).
- Open PowerShell as Administrator and run:
get-appxpackage Microsoft.XboxApp | remove-AppxPackage -allusers - Then run:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9mv0b5hzvk9z - Install the Xbox app from the Store and then try signing in again.
- Check for sandbox or environment misconfiguration (developers/test PCs)
If the PC has ever been configured for Xbox development sandboxes, ensure it is set correctly:- Install and run
XblPCSandbox.exe. - Run:
and confirm the sandbox is correct for normal retail use (or matches the game’s sandbox if testing).XblPCSandbox /get - If needed, switch sandboxes with:
XblPCSandbox <your sandbox ID>
- Install and run
- If the account ever becomes genuinely suspended
If at any point the enforcement site shows a suspension, it means there was a violation of the Microsoft Services Agreement or Xbox Code of Conduct. In that case:- Review the details on the enforcement page.
- If eligible, submit a Case Review from the enforcement site to request a review of the action.
If, after repairing Gaming Services and the Xbox app, all accounts still show the same error while enforcement history remains clean, contact Xbox support and reference that the enforcement page shows no suspensions so they can investigate a service‑side issue with sign‑in on that device.
