Share the audio from a video in Teams (web version)

As QA Assist said, directly it is not possible.

Best approach for sharing a video: Open the video in a browser tab, choose Tab when screen sharing, and enable "Also share tab audio" — this gives clean, isolated audio from that video only.

Yes. In Teams Free on the web, audio from a shared video can be sent by enabling sound when starting screen sharing.

Use one of these options:

1. From the meeting controls, select Share.
2. Choose Audio (or turn on the Include sound option, depending on the interface) and then select Share screen.
3. Pick whether to share a specific app/window or the entire screen, then start presenting the video. Participants will hear the audio from the shared screen.

On Teams for web more generally, audio can be shared this way:

1. Select Share > Screen, window, or tab.
2. If sharing a tab, turn on Also share tab audio.
3. If sharing a window or Entire Screen, turn on Also share system audio.
4. Select what to share and then Share.

These options allow sharing the video’s audio even in the web/Free experience, though the control labels differ from the desktop “Include system audio” button.
