How to open a Microsoft Advertising support ticket for API issues?

Hi everyone,

I recently received the following advice regarding my issue with GetCampaignsByAccountId:

Given the valid request and the confirmed presence of an Audience campaign in Bulk, the next step is to open a Microsoft Advertising support ticket, providing:

  • The TrackingId from the GetCampaignsByAccountId response.
  • AccountId and CustomerId.
  • Example campaign ID from Bulk (e.g., 487660970). Support can then review internal logs for that TrackingId and account to determine why the Audience campaign is not being returned by GetCampaignsByAccountId for this specific account.

Following this suggestion, I would like to open a Microsoft Advertising support ticket to have my internal logs reviewed.

Could someone please guide me on the best way to do this? Specifically:

  • Is there a dedicated portal or email address for API-related technical support?
  • Should I use the standard "Help" menu in the UI, or is there a specific channel to ensure this reaches the engineering team?

I have the TrackingId, AccountId, and example Campaign ID ready to provide.

Thank you! Daisuke Mita

For Microsoft Advertising API issues such as GetCampaignsByAccountId not returning expected campaigns, support requests are handled through the Microsoft Advertising Customer Support Portal.

To open a ticket that can be routed to the appropriate technical/engineering team:

    1. Go to the Microsoft Advertising Customer Support Portal: https://support.ads.microsoft.com.
    2. Sign in with a personal Microsoft account. The previous Proceed as Guest option is no longer available, so an authenticated sign-in is required.
    3. After signing in, select Contact Support to open the contact form.
    4. Choose the most appropriate category for a technical/API issue (for example, categories that cover UI or API bugs and product issues, Issues with technical implementation, or Observed ad serving issues). These request types are explicitly handled by the Microsoft Advertising support team and can be escalated internally as needed.
    5. In the ticket description, include:
      • The TrackingId from the GetCampaignsByAccountId response.
      • The AccountId and CustomerId used in the API call.
      • The example campaign ID from Bulk (e.g., 487660970).
      • A brief summary that GetCampaignsByAccountId is not returning a specific Audience campaign for that account.
    6. Submit the request. After creation, use the portal to track status and respond to any follow-up questions from support.

If the issue is related to integrations (for example, with external tools or data providers), the same portal is used, but with more specific routing:

    1. In the Category field, select Partner Integrations.
    2. In What Can We Help With?, select Data & Apps.

This ensures the case is routed to the correct integration/technical team.

There is no separate public email address documented for API support; the Microsoft Advertising Customer Support Portal is the single access point for technical issues, including UI or API bugs and product issues.
