Hello, my hp envy x360 convertible 15m-ee0xxx is not listed on the website in order to download the camera driver. I've searched everywhere and it's not on the unsupported list either.

    Hi,

If the devices on your laptop don't appear, press the camera icon next to the power button.

    User's image

If that doesn't work, try pressing FN + the camera icon.

For an HP Envy x360 where the camera driver is missing or not listed, use the Windows camera and driver troubleshooting steps to restore a working driver.

    1. Check Device Manager and rescan for the camera
      1. Select Start, type device manager, then select it.
      2. Look for the camera under Cameras, Imaging devices, or Sound, video and game controllers.
      3. If the camera is not listed, select the Action menu, then Scan for hardware changes.
      4. Wait for the scan to complete, then restart the PC and test the Camera app.
    2. Update or reinstall the camera driver via Device Manager
      1. If the camera appears in Device Manager, right‑click it and select Update driver.
      2. Choose Search automatically for drivers so Windows can search online and install an available driver.
      3. Restart the PC after the update.
      4. If updating does not help, right‑click the camera, select Uninstall device, enable Attempt to remove the driver for this device (if available), and confirm.
      5. In Device Manager, open the Action menu and select Scan for hardware changes so Windows reinstalls a default driver, then restart and test the Camera app.
    3. Check for Windows and optional driver updates
      1. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
      2. If no camera update appears, go to Advanced options > Optional updates and install any camera or imaging‑related driver updates.
      3. Restart the device when updates finish.
    4. Verify the camera is not blocked by hardware or function keys
      1. On many laptops, a function key (F1–F12) with a camera icon can disable the webcam. Press that key, or Fn + that key, once to toggle it back on.
      2. Check the physical camera area for a privacy shutter/slider and open it if present.
    5. If the camera still does not appear or work
      1. If Device Manager shows the camera but it stopped working after an update, open the camera Properties > Driver tab and select Roll Back Driver (if available), then restart and test.
      2. If the camera never appears in Device Manager even after scans and restarts, or if the driver repeatedly fails, use the HP support site for the exact model to check for BIOS or chipset updates and any bundled camera driver package, or contact HP support, as the issue may be hardware‑specific.

These steps rely on Windows’ built‑in driver detection and troubleshooting when a vendor‑specific camera driver is not easily available from the manufacturer’s download page.
