Hey Saurabh, it looks like you successfully clicked “Redeem Azure” in the Startups portal but you don’t yet see those credits in your Azure subscription. Here’s what usually trips people up and how to get your $ 10K (or whatever level you qualify for) to show up:

    1. Make sure you’ve completed the “Complete Azure sign-up” step
      • After assigning your Microsoft account in the Startups portal, you should get a prompt to finish setting up your new Azure Sponsorship.
      • You need to enter a payment method (card) for identity verification. You won’t be billed until you exhaust your credits or the offer expires.
    2. Check you’re signed in with the same personal Microsoft Account (MSA)
      • The MSA you used to redeem in the Startups portal is the one your credits are tied to.
      • If you have an existing Pay-As-You-Go or Visual Studio-linked subscription under that MSA, the system will automatically create a new “Azure Sponsorship” subscription for your credits.
    3. Give it a bit of time
      • After you complete Azure sign-up, the portal can take up to 15–30 minutes (sometimes up to 24 hours) to show your new sponsorship subscription and credit balance.
    4. Where to look for your credits in Azure
      • In the Azure portal go to Subscriptions → you should see a subscription named something like “Microsoft for Startups Sponsorship” or “Azure Sponsorship”.
      • Inside that subscription, go to Cost Management + Billing → Properties. You’ll see your credit balance and expiration date there.
    5. If you still don’t see it
      • Double-check under the Startups portal (portal.startups.microsoft.com) that the status on your Azure benefit card says Activated and not still “Redeem” or “Pending.”
      • Make sure you haven’t already had an Azure subscription under that MSA (only true “new Azure customers” are eligible for the starter $1K or investor-offer credits).

    Hi Saurabh Shete,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft QnA

Typically, the startup credits should appear soon after account activation, but they can sometimes take longer than expected.

    Here’s what you can do:

    1. Check Eligibility: Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria for the startup credit offer. You should be a new Azure customer without a prior Azure account, signed in with a personal Microsoft Account (MSA), and in a country where the offer is available.
    2. Activation and Verification: Ensure that you have activated your Azure credits. If you are eligible for additional credits by verifying your business, make sure to complete the verification process within 90 days. This verification can take up to seven business days.
    3. Double-Check Sign-in: Make sure you're signed in with the correct personal Microsoft Account that you used during the sign-up process. Sometimes accounts get mixed up.
    4. Timeframe: Generally, the credits should show up within a few hours to 24 hours after the account is created, but if it has been more than that, it might be worth reaching out to Azure support.

If after all this you still don’t see the credits, you might want to reach out to Azure Support directly or check back on your account later in case of system updates.

Hope this helps and you get those credits soon!

If you still have issues, here are a few follow-up questions you might consider asking:

    1. Did you receive any confirmation email after setting up your account and adding billing information?
    2. Have you checked if there are any restrictions for your region regarding the availability of startup credits?
    3. Have you tried accessing your Azure account through a different browser or clearing your cache to refresh any potential issues?
