inconsistent ethernet connection after upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows11

I often lose ethernet connection after a few minutes or when clicking browser back tabs or clicking to go to another website.

This started occurring right after upgrading to windows 11. When I click on windows 11 help it says I it needs to reinstall the driver, which it does and the problem is fixed, but only temporarily minutes later it happens again as stated above. My ISP says it is not an issue with their hardware. How can this be fixed?

    Hi Earl,

To further check on this, can you please confirm if have you tried to install the latest WLAN driver from the manufacturer website? If not, please do so as when Ethernet drops after upgrading to Windows 11 are most likely caused by driver incompatibility.

You may also do network reset stack by running each command below on command prompt:

    netsh int ip reset

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushdns

    netsh winsock reset
