SAVE AND SAVE AS AND PRINT TO PDF NOT RESPONDING ON PDF

The "SAVE" and "SAVE AS" option on a PDF I created is not responding and not allowing me to Save any edits I have been making using the Draw/Text/Highlight option on Microsoft Edge. This is very frustrating and hindering my work progress not to mention having to redo edits. Please let me know how I can fix this?

    Hello Arestia Pilarinos,

    Thanks for reaching out. A bit of info first would help narrow things down:

    • Does this happen with every PDF, or just this one you created?
    • Where is the file stored (local Downloads/Desktop, OneDrive, SharePoint, an email attachment)?
    • Did the issue start right after a recent Edge or Windows update?
    • Does the same PDF behave the same way in an InPrivate window, or in another browser like Chrome?

    In the meantime, here are the steps you could try:

    • Try Ctrl+S instead of clicking the Save button — when the toolbar button hangs, the shortcut sometimes still goes through.
    • Reset Edge settings: Settings > Reset settings > Restore settings to their default values. This clears any stuck viewer/profile state without touching your favorites or passwords.
    • Repair Edge: Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft Edge > three-dot menu > Modify > Repair.
    • Clear browsing data (cached images and files, all time).
    • As a workaround if you need to keep working in the meantime, you can open the same PDF in another viewer (Adobe Reader, or even Chrome) to save your edits, or use "Microsoft Print to PDF" from the print dialog instead of the built-in Save.
