cannot see shifts in Microsoft teams

Could you please confirm if your Microsoft Teams interface looks similar to the screenshot below?

If that is the case, it indicates that you are currently using a personal (free) Microsoft Teams account. With this type of account, certain business features such as Shifts are not available, which is why you are not seeing it in your menu and also why the three‑dot (“View more apps”) option may not appear.

To access the Shifts app, a Microsoft 365 business subscription is required, where apps like Shifts are included and managed as part of the organization’s environment.

If you would like to use Shifts, you would need to sign in with a work or school account, or subscribe to a suitable Microsoft 365 business plan

To better understand the situation, could you please confirm whether you are currently using Microsoft Teams on the web or the desktop/mobile app?

In the meantime, you may try locating the Shifts app by following these steps:

• On the left‑hand menu in Teams, click the three dots (“View more apps”)

• Look for the app with the clock icon (Shifts)

• Once found, you can right‑click on it and select “Pin” so it appears on your main menu

If you are unable to find Shifts there, it is possible that the app has been disabled or restricted by your organization’s policy.

In that case, I recommend reaching out to your IT administrator to check the settings in the Teams admin center. They can review and enable the app by following these steps:

• Go to Teams admin center
• Navigate to Teams apps > Manage apps
• Search for "Shifts"
• Open the app settings, then go to Users and groups
• Under Availability, click Edit availability
• Set Available to “Everyone”

Once enabled, the Shifts app should become visible in Teams. Please let me know what you find or if you need further assistance.

Shifts is built into Microsoft Teams, but it may not be visible on the app bar by default.

To find and add Shifts on desktop or web:

1. Open Microsoft Teams.
2. Look at the app bar on the left side.
3. If Shifts is visible there, select it to open.
4. If Shifts is not visible, select View more apps (the three dots ... on the app bar).
5. Find Shifts in the list of apps and select it to open.
6. To keep it handy, right-click Shifts in the app bar and choose Pin so it always appears on the left.

On mobile (if needed):

1. Open the Teams mobile app.
2. Look at the app bar at the bottom.
3. If Shifts is not visible, swipe up on the app bar to open More apps.
4. Find and tap Shifts.
5. To pin it, tap Edit, then drag Shifts from More apps into the top section.

Note: For users with Microsoft 365 F3 or F1 licenses, Shifts is automatically pinned in Teams. If Shifts still does not appear in View more apps, an administrator may have disabled it in the tenant, and an admin would need to enable the Shifts app in Teams admin settings.
