Azure MongoDB storage usage

I have a Azure DocumentDB (with MongoDB compatibility) that is being replicated to another region.

The issue I'm having is that the actual data size is 450mb but the storage usage is 150 GB and it keeps growing.

I suspect that the storage was being used for backup, and I tried to reduce the retention policy, but it's not changing.

How can I resolve this problem?

    Hi Jong Shin,
Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the details.

You observed that the actual data size was approximately 450 MB, while the reported storage usage showed around 150 GB and kept increasing unexpectedly.

To investigate this behavior further and involve our Engineering/Product team, we requested additional details and screenshots.

However, we are glad to hear that the issue is now resolved from your end, and the reported storage usage has returned to normal. Based on this, it appears that the behavior was transient and likely related to a temporary platform or metrics inconsistency that self-corrected automatically.
Since the issue is no longer occurring and normal behavior has been restored, no further action is required at this time.

Hope this helps. If you have any follow-up questions, please let me know. I would be happy to help.
