    Hi Veronica,

    You can do this:

    • Open Settings -> System -> Activation. Microsoft recommends using the Windows Activation troubleshooter there.
    • Run Troubleshoot, then choose I changed hardware on this device recently if you see that option. The troubleshooter only works with the Microsoft account connected to the license.
    • Make sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account you used when buying the Pro upgrade. Microsoft ties the digital license to that account/email.

If the Store purchase was completed but you never received the confirmation email, the first thing I would check is whether the order was placed under a different Microsoft account than the one currently signed in on Windows.

If this helps resolve your issue, feel free to mark the answer so others can benefit as well.

    Have a nice day!

Error 0xC004F200 is shown when trying to set up or activate pre‑installed Microsoft 365/Office on a new PC before Windows itself has finished activating. It is not an error for activating Windows 10/11, and it is not caused by not receiving a Windows product key email.

To resolve 0xC004F200 when it appears during Office setup on a new device:

    1. Make sure the PC is connected to the internet.
    2. Check that Windows is activated:
      • On the taskbar, in the Type here to search box, type Activation.
      • Select See if Windows is activated (or Activation in the results).
      • Under Windows activation, confirm it shows Windows is activated.
    3. If Windows was just activated, wait up to 30 minutes so activation can fully complete.
    4. After Windows shows as activated, open an Office app (for example, Word) and follow the prompts to sign in and activate Office.

If the issue is actually that Windows 10/11 Pro itself is not activating after purchase from Microsoft Store (and you see a Windows activation error, not the Office setup error above), use the Windows Activation troubleshooter and the guidance for common Windows activation errors in Settings > Update & Security > Activation (Windows 10) or Settings > System > Activation (Windows 11), and follow the specific steps shown there for the error code displayed.
