Ads wipe out video messages, and the video never returns

On MSN news videos, a blank page appears on almost every video which touts to be an advertisement. It says the video report will return after the ad finishes...but it never does. The screen remains blanks for minutes until I give up. Ads are necessary, but they often now destroy the quality of the news item. Please fix this!

This behavior is related to how advertising is delivered on MSN and needs to be reported through the MSN feedback channel so the product team can investigate the specific ad or placement that is blocking the video.

To report it directly from MSN:

    1. On the MSN page where the problem occurs (the video page with the blank ad screen), open the feedback tool:
      • Use the feedback button in the bottom-right corner of the MSN page, or
      • Open the settings cog in the top-right corner of the MSN homepage and choose the feedback option.
    2. In the feedback form, include as much detail as possible so the issue can be reproduced and fixed:
      • Specify that the problem occurs on a video page and that after an ad placeholder appears, the news video never resumes and the screen stays blank.
      • Provide the page type (video page) and, if possible, the URL of the page where this happens.
      • If an ad is partially visible or clickable, include:
        • The URL the ad would take the user to (if known)
        • The brand or product the ad is for
      • Describe the exact issue (for example: “ad loads but video never returns; screen stays blank for several minutes”).

All feedback submitted this way is passed to MSN editorial and product teams, even though there is no individual email reply. The details above help them identify misbehaving ad creatives or player issues that interrupt video playback.
