Hello Tariku Mersiehazen, welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you are trying to run Power Ge’ez 2010, which is a legacy third-party Amharic/Ge’ez typing tool that provides custom keyboards and fonts for Ethiopic script.

Power Ge’ez 2010 was designed for older versions of Windows and Office, and it often stops working on Windows 11 because the system uses a modern Unicode-based text framework and no longer supports some legacy font and input technologies. This means older drivers and non-Unicode fonts from Power Ge’ez may not function as expected.

Windows 11 already includes full support for Amharic typing and Ethiopic fonts. You can enable this by going to Settings > Time & language > Language & region, selecting Add a language, searching for Amharic, and installing it. After installation, make sure the Amharic keyboard is added under Keyboards. You can switch between keyboards using Win + Space. The built-in Amharic IME supports phonetic typing, and the Nyala font included in Windows will display Ethiopic text correctly in Word, Excel, and other apps.
