Hi @Steve Williams
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Regarding your issue, I understand how frustrating it can be when your device takes so long to start, especially after an update. You’re not alone many Surface Go 3 users have reported similar slow boot issues, and it seems to affect both Windows 10 and Windows 11. This points to a software or driver-related problem rather than hardware.
To help narrow it down, please try starting in Safe Mode with Networking:
- If the boot time is still slow in Safe Mode, that means it’s not caused by third-party apps.
Since Windows 10 has already reached end of support, there won’t be any new updates or fixes for this version. If the issue persists, the best next step is to share your experience and vote on the feedback thread here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5603982/long-booting-time-on-surface-go-3?page=%E2%80%A6
As a forum moderator and can only provide guidance based on available resources I don’t have access to engineering fixes. Your feedback and votes really help escalate this to the right team.
Thank you for your patience and for taking the time to report this. Hopefully, these steps and the feedback link will help move things forward.
