Why is Windows Update constantly prompting for Intel - Extension - 2.1.10103.18 update and restart?

Everytime I start my computer, I get a Windows Update prompt at some point, which is consistently to install Intel - Extension - 2.1.10103.18. I believe it is already installed (actually, I think a newer version is installed) and would like to find a way not to keep getting this update reminder. When I put my computer in Sleep mode for the evening, it will always re-boot before I return in the morning, which is quite annoying. Any help with this apparent infinite loop issue?

    I have the same issue. How to I tell if I have a newer version of Intel Extension installed? (I looked in device manager under System Devices & Software Components and do not see any "intel extension" listing or similar. UPDATE: I solved my issue. I was getting the error (4x) when I was using HDMI out to connect to my external monitor. When I disconnected monitor (and KVM switch) and re-tried install and it installed fine. (Note: that a Dell Monitor update also was triggered and installed when disconnected from switch. Don't know if this was a coincidence or not.)
