I’m currently locked out of my Microsoft account, I can sign in and change my password with no issues but when I go to manage my account or see any information in it automatically logs me out. I tried everything, different devices, browsers, networks, cleared my cache and cookies, private tabs didn’t work, I know it’s a Microsoft account issue because my other account works just fine. So im facing a big issue of being locked out of my laptop I use for school. I need my bitlocker key but I can’t access it due to being locked out. I tried contacting support but the chat support agent has no idea what’s going on. It took three attempts with three different agents for the third one properly move the case up the command instead of giving me an answer that won’t solve my problem. An email from Microsoft regarding the issue was sent to me last week regarding this issue and I replied but it’s been a week with no response from them. I need my bitlocker key for school asap but support can’t help me it and there’s not number to speak to a person who can this has got to be the worst support I’ve ever experienced. I wouldn’t condemn my worst enemy to deal with Microsoft support. I think ChatGPT is better at handling problems for Microsoft. The support chat is not support it’s just full of tips and information you most likely already know they can’t actually help you most of the time.

Hello Isaiah, thanks for posting this in our community.

You might want to try accessing your BitLocker recovery key directly instead of going through the account dashboard. Use this link: https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey. If it still logs you out, that’s a strong sign there’s a deeper issue with your account session.

Also, double-check that you're signing in with the correct account type. If you're using a personal Microsoft account, make sure you're not accidentally signing in with a work or school account. Microsoft sometimes logs users out when there's a conflict between account types. Try signing in using an InPrivate or Incognito browser window at https://account.microsoft.com, and use the exact email address you used to set up BitLocker. If you're prompted to choose between “Work or School” and “Personal,” go with Personal.

    Kind regards,

    John Oli
