How can I change the new tab page in edge so I can use a page of my own choice?

    I was able to get rid of the news page that used to show up on new tab by opening a new tab, clicking the settings wheel at the top, and unselecting "show content." I don't know how to get a different new tab page, but at least I don't see all the clutter. You can also modify what shows as quick links which can be useful.

    Microsoft has made the very anti-consumer choice to prevent you from removing their tracking content from the new tab page. Every time you open a new tab, you are sending analytics to Microsoft. Check out the network tab in devTools (F12) if you don't believe me.

    I've tried to stay using Edge. I've worked to get about:blank used as my only starting page. This land-grab by Microsoft is just anti-consumer choice. I'll have to start blocking entire Microsoft domains ... not something the lay person can do, and not something I want to keep fighting with Microsoft about.

    And people wonder why folk with money pay for the privacy of closed ecosystems (such as the delicious red fruit company).

    The NTP, actually, CAN BE CLEAN and use a custom, User-created or User-selected background.

    Alt+F, the ellipsis > Settings/Appearance > Image theme

    You can pick from available 'stock' images OR hit Upload image and grab something you have saved on your computer, a personal picture... a photo of yours or something YOU may have created with Bing Image Creator, MS Designer or whatever else.

    The Edge logo one is one I created.
    Then, you can use Exrated colours (the red circle) OR Colour there (a colour picker) to have the Edge frame colour you prefer.

    No one answered the question. What everyone wants is to set your own URL for the new tab page. You could do that in Win 10, but not in Win 11.

    Hello, good day and thanks for your question. On Edge, go to edge://settings/startHomeNTP from the address bar and instead of doing this under the New tab page which has now a different option then you can do this under On startup and select Open custom sites and put in the website/s as per your preference.
