Hi

I keep on getting this message when I open some pages.

(To avoid a long answer, I won't include everything. So, if none of these help, there are other methods.)

Check your device's date and time.

(SSL certificates rely on correct date and time for validation.)

Press "Windows + I", select "Time & Language > Date & Time", and enable "Set time automatically".

If the problem persists, clear your browser cache and cookies.

(Old data may interfere with secure connection.)

Open "Settings and more (Alt + F)" and select "Settings";
In the left panel, select "Privacy, Search and Services";
Under "Clear browsing data", click on "Choose what to clear";
Under "Time Interval", change to "All time";
Leave marked at least "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files";
Click on "Clean Now";
Close and open your browser.

If the issue persists, temporarily disable all your extensions:

(Some may block or interfere with the SSL connection.)

Go to Extensions and disable them all. Test the site and re-enable them one by one to identify the culprit.

Still did not work. Sometimes it will load, then I spend the next 21 hours getting SSL errors. I am so frustrated

I cannot get this to work no matter what. I've tried everything that was suggested and still the link won't connect. Any help that will fix this will be appreciated.

Alright I the found the Fix.

I've been trying to fix my buddy's laptop that gets SLL errors on all browser and all websites. did everything thats posted everywhere and had no luck.

Chat GPT eventually gave me the fix.

Check Services / Background Apps

Run msconfig: (aka system Configuration)

Go to Services

Check Hide Microsoft services

Disable any unfamiliar services (especially security tools, proxies, VPNs)

Also go to Startup tab in Task Manager and disable suspicious entries.

I unchecked these 4 services called: Killer smart AP selection service, KIller Analytics service, Killer Network service, and Killer Dynamic Bandwidth management.

hit apply then restarted pc and it was completely fixed.

If anyone is having this same crazy issue this is 100% the way to fix it. It may not be the same killer service name but look for something not normal. make sure to check Hide Microsoft service to make it easy to find the problem.

You are seriously the GOAT for this. I've worked on PC's all my life, but I was plagued by this issue recently for a handful of websites and I could not fix it. I disabled the 3 services from Unknown manufacturers, and then the issue was fixed after a reboot. Thank you very much!

Where are you seeing 'HIDE MICROSOFT SERVICE". I am in SERVICES and nothing in there starting with HIDE but there are all these things with MICROSOFT.... no clue what you are saying to do

Omg thank you!!! I did this exact thing before but only disabled 1 of them. It seemed to fix the problem but then it popped back up again… After doing hours of research I found this… ugh I didn’t even think about disabling all of them in the beginning! Whoops!!

To the question above… it’s at the bottom of that window… just a single stand alone checkmark box… but it shouldn’t matter you still see those 4 programs that start with “killer”, if you don’t then it’s probably not the issue we are talking about. You can also disable half of them at a time and see if it help, if it does, keep on dividing them in half untill you get to the program this is corrupted… there’s an article somewhere on this site explaining it better.. Hope this helps.
