I'm being told that my phone number has been taken by another account and unable to add it to mine. How can I add my phone number to my account

    I need help with my Teams account. It is not letting me add my phone number. it says that it is already taken.

    If you think your number has been used by someone, you can directly contact Microsoft since they are the one who has an access to your account.

    You may try the following steps:

    1. Kindly go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/talk-...
    2. Click on Talk to an agent.
    3. Once connected, Select Microsoft Account

    You'd be able to talk to a person a few moments.

    It appears my number is in use by someone other than me, is there a way to report this and get my number for my account?
