I need to migrate an Oracle database to SQL Server, but the current Oracle version is 11g, which is not supported by the latest version of SSMA for Oracle. How can I install a version of SQL Server Migration Assistant that supports Oracle 11g?

Did you have any luck finding the older version that will support and older client and therefore an older Oracle DBMS?

For anyone else in the same boat, I'm looking at using SSIS which has an Oracle Connector in some of the versions. The connector is supposed to be compatible back to 10.x. Only available in Developer and Enterprise editions.

9.5 won't permit connecting back to 10g in my case. That was the obvious place to start, but needs to be either 7.11 or 8.xx of SSMA. There was some debate about which of those even, but I'm following the SSIS path until the next road block.

You misread the system requirements, it must be
Oracle Client 12.0 or a later version,
the client version is important, not the version of the database.

Just to clarify, the original question was whether an older version of SSMA is required to migrate an Oracle 11g database. As noted earlier, the documented SSMA requirement refers to the Oracle Client version installed on the migration workstation rather than the Oracle Database version itself.
Could you confirm whether you were able to test the migration using a supported Oracle client version (12.x or later) while connecting to the Oracle 11g database? If so, did you encounter a specific connection or compatibility error?
Any error messages or screenshots would help determine whether the issue is related to Oracle client compatibility, SSMA version requirements, or a separate connectivity problem.
